EYFS Preparation Activities

EYFS Teachers will be carrying out Pre-School Visits and home visits will be arranged for September. This will give us an opportunity to get to know your child and be able to ensure their transition into Springwell goes as smoothly as possible. We are also receiving up to date information from your child's Pre-school. Admissions Packs will have been handed to you during the Pre-School visits or sent home to you via post.

In order to aid the transition into School Year R pupils will start on a part time basis for the first half of the Autumn term. All details will be sent to you at the end of the summer term.

Children will start school full time the week before the October half term.

We are holding an Open Morning on Saturday 15th June 9.00 – 12.00, this will give parents an opportunity to look around the school and ask staff any questions.

Preparation Activities

Following the admission panel, at the end of April, if your child is to be admitted in Years 1-6, you will be contacted initially by the SEND team.

We will contact you, send you an admission pack, and information regarding transition.  After May half term, Springwell staff will visit our new pupils at their current setting, speaking with their 1:1 key workers and teachers and gathering as much information as possible.
