• Thursday 10 September 2026 Parent Coffee Mornings - Yearly Overview ☕️🌈🍰 We run informal coffee mornings each half term for our parents/carers at Springwell. It's a great opportunity to ask questions or request support. It's also a great place to meet other parents that can relate to your experiences and share tips and stories over a cuppa. Our Assistant Headteachers host the event and we often have other local SEND support networks in attendance as well. ☕️🌈🍰 Here are the dates for this years Coffee Mornings: *Thurs 1st Oct *Thurs 19th Nov *Thurs 21st Jan *Thurs 4th March *Thurs 20th May *Thurs 1st July No need to book, just come along and sign in at the main Reception.

• Monday 20 October 2025 Diwali 2025 The children had a wonderful time celebrating Diwali. It's one of the first celebrations of the academic year that brings the school together. Across the school there were various activities for the pupils to explore light and dark and also colour and pattern.
• Friday 18 July 2025 School Council - End of year party Last week, our School Councillors celebrated their hard work this year with a well-earned party! They have taken their roles seriously and shared excellent ideas on key topics - including how Southampton can improve accessibility for young people with SEND. They have worked with professionals from the local authority and even met MP Darren Paffey to share their ideas. We are proud of them and their opinions will positively impact school and the city moving forwards.
• Friday 4 July 2025 Pink Flamingos Accessible Bike Trip Our wonderful year 6 leavers from Pink Flamingos went on their leavers trip to Cycles4all at Pavillion on the Park in Eastleigh. They really enjoyed themselves and we highly recommend this as an activity for our children!
• Friday 7 March 2025 World Book Day 2025 World Book Day was a huge success. The children loved coming to school dressed as their favourite characters and doing lots of reading and sensory stories.
• Friday 14 February 2025 Valentine's Rainbow Day Valentine's day celebrated at Springwell for the last day of the half term!
• Friday 6 December 2024 Springwell Winter Fayre
• Tuesday 29 October 2024 AAC Awareness Month AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) Awareness Month saw Springwell put even MORE emphasis on the accessibility of communication tools.

• Wednesday 15 May 2024 Art Week Lots of experimenting and investigating! Our on-site classes explored the rainbow of colours and a variety of different mediums. Our satellite classes focused on self portraits - their outcomes are just wonderful! Well done everyone!

• Wednesday 29 November 2023 Blue Whales Coop Trip Blue Whales had the best time on their walk to co-op this morning. They were all so polite to the shop workers and had lots of fun waving at cars and buses during the walk.
• Wednesday 1 November 2023 School Closure (2/11/23) All Southampton schools have been instructed to close on Thursday 2nd November 2023 by the Local Authority due to the predicted severity of Storm Ciaran.
• Thursday 19 October 2023 Rainbow Dress Up Day We will be joined by The Lovely Bubbly Show all day on Friday 20th October to celebrate our recent OFSTED result. The children are encouraged to come to school dressed in rainbow colours and we will be doing various exciting activities across the day.

• Friday 17 March 2023 Saints Football Coaches came to visit! Another fantastic activity we had for our sports week was the SEN Coaches from Saints Foundation came to do some sessions with all the children. They all had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed kicking the football around and playing in teams!
